The latest Monday Meme - picture this

Monday Meme 18 : 2005-09-19 : Picture This

1. Do you own a camera (or multiple cameras)? What kind(s)?

One is a Canon Powershot A200... digital camera. The other is a Panasonic digital video camera... not sure of model but it's got 3CCD so I like it :D

2. Do you prefer digital or film cameras?

Digital is nice and handy for travelling, posting on internet etc. A nice film SLR is fun. Now a digital SLR... that'd be nice.

3. How often do you take pictures?

When I'm sightseeing, seeing friends, partying, travelling, often. Everyday... not a whole lot. But I do like taking shots of anything out of the ordinary... or ordinary things from out-of-the-ordinary angles... ;)

4. Do you like having your picture taken? Have you ever modeled or considered modeling?

I don't mind having my photo taken. And yes, I have had modelling shots done. Didn't get any work out of it though. :)

5. What is your most treasured photo?

My most treasured photo... good question. There's a nice one of me in a samurai costume...

I was the 59th person to take this week's Monday Meme!

Competition - Second Clue!

OK, it’s Wednesday. You know what that means.

It’s time for Clue #2!

Here’s the rundown on the competition so far...

After the first two weeks, I had fifteen entries from Angela, Angie, Sarah, EmmaJ and Alastair. At this point, I gave the first clue: the closest entries were “platypus”, “llama” and “giraffe”. Congrats to those of you who twigged I was looking for an animal of some kind.

This week, Justin, Devona, SirLok and Jason have entered the fray, and the total number of entries has reached 40. WOW.

Here are the entries, with new entries in bold:
Angela: Sarsparilla
Angie: Damn, booger, macaroni
Sarah: Punk, Jesus, platypus, llama, chocolate, fishlips, koala, wallaby, wombat, kangaroo, bilby, emu
EmmaJ: Giraffe, rabbit, elephant
Alastair: Coffee, time, spatula, turnip
Justin: Duck, ass, barbie, God, love, creator, creation, evolution, snuckledorf, the “f-word”, glomp
Devona: Beaver, squirrel
SirLok: Sphygmomanometer, halleluia, water-buffalo
Jason: Jackass

The closest people in the race now are Sarah with “emu” and Justin with “duck”...

Keep those guesses coming, people!

Job Interview

Well, I just came back from the interview. It went really well, and they told me I'm one of 5 they are interviewing today. So I've got a pretty good chance, I think.

I should find out either this evening or tomorrow, I think...

Hi everyone, now that I've put up my Scotland pics, I'm going to go back into my archives and add links to my stories from June and July. So if you look under those months in the Archive section of the sidebar, you can read about my adventures and see the pictures in context.

Off I go... diving back into cyberspace.

According to the Ordnance Survey map, there's a dun around here... oh look... there's a flat-topped hill. I'd say that's where the fort used to be. Posted by Picasa

Follow - but - follow only if ye be men of valour, for the entrance to this cave is guarded by a creature so foul, so cruel, that no man yet has fought with it and lived. Bones of full fifty men lie strewn about its lair. So, brave knights, if you do doubt your courage, or your strength, come no further, for death awaits you all with nasty, big, pointy teeth. Posted by Picasa

Remains of an Iron Age fort, or dun, on the southwest side of Colonsay. To the left is a small sheltered beach. There are medieval ruins below the grass on the isthmus in the foreground. At the back, an obviously man-made ramp goes up from the beach to the flat grassy top of the rocky outcrop, where many centuries ago, a large fortified dwelling used to stand. Posted by Picasa
